Home Rowing Machine

Ever wondered how a rowing machine works?  Look at this…

Rowing machines are engineered to duplicate the real rowing motions made on the water. And just like the actual rowing, exercising on a rowing machine excercises the upper and lower body. Home rowing machines are great for cadiovascular exercise as well as overall toning. Rowing is ideal for staying in shape, and works out all of your major muscles –more than any other piece of cardio vascular fitness equipment. Rowing machines are made to simulate actual boat rowing so that it seems like you are pushing oars through water as you work the machine . As an oar is pushed forward and pulled back with a fluid motion in actual water, the water acts as the resistance.

Rowing machines are a great transition from strength and endurance excercises , giving a great cardio workout and strengthening your arm, back, shoulders and abdominal muscles. Rowing machines are geared to replicate the actual exercise which is performed on water . Like actual rowing, exercising with a rowing machine forces both the lower and the upper body to work . Rowing machines are easy to use.  You just sit on the seat and move back and forth pulling the handles as you go . Your knees should be slightly when you are closest to the rowing machine’s base, straightening out as you move back with each rowing stroke.  Your knees ought to stay slightly bent at the furthest point of your stroke and you should keep your back straight throughout.

All things considered, it’s difficult to get a more complete exercise routine with one piece of exercise equipment.
