JVC revealed three new-fangled standard definition models in the early part of 2009, namely the JVC GZ-MG630, JVC GZ-MG670 and JVC GZ-MG680. These three equipment offer functions which are like, for example a 40x zoom and 1/6-inch 800,000-pixel CCD and other avantgarde features.

The cheapest of the three gadgets is the JVC GZ-MG630. This piece of equipment sports a 60GB hard drive while its older siblings present 80GB and 120GB respectively and the capability to upconvert standard definition videos to high-definition.

Extra capabilities included in these three avantgarde cameras from JVC consist of Digest Playback, Auto Illumi.Light and easy file management and playback.
