When buying baby gear it is so fun and it is easy to be sucked in by advertisers. All parents want their baby to own the best, safest, and the cutest. But babies do not require a whole lot of things, and there are many that need to be avoided.

Fancy crib sets need to be avoided because they are not safe. Any professional will advise you to not use pillows, bumper pads, comforters, stuffed animals, or anything else that is soft in the baby’s crib. It is a fun pastime to decorate the nursery but make sure that there are no unneeded things in your baby’s crib.

While you are out clothes shopping for your baby, be sure that the clothes you buy are going to be comfortable. Price doesn’t matter. Any baby is more comfortable in loose fitting clothing without any elastics. Clothing should be made of cotton this is because it can breathe and it is soft not like any synthetic material that could be found.

Avoid buying a changing table or a wipes warmer. When changing any baby it is more convenient to use a blanket spread out on the floor. This is similar to fancy cribs sometimes. It is also safer for when the baby starts to roll. The wipe warmer can dry out the wipes and you need to change the baby where it is.

It has been stated by physical therapists and by paediatricians to avoid the use of a baby walker. Which can be considered like special pillows to many people. You will feel that it is good for your baby but the use of a walker will stop the natural development of your baby and they are also connected to many injuries every year.

Special baby laundry soap is not needed, just like baby clothes. It’s just the smell that is different from your other laundry soap. If you baby happens to have a reaction to laundry soap try using less or using only hot water.
